The Co?te Roannaise lies along the Monts de Madeleine hills just west of the Beaujolais, situated upon a vein of granite, making it an ideal site for
Gamay grape, just like its neighbor. Domaine Robert Se?rol dates back to the 18th century and Ste?phane is the 5th generation to work this land.
Today there are 20 hectares, the oldest vines are 80 years old and, the domaine is converting parcel by parcel to organic farming. Parcels are
vinified separately in cement tanks, fermentations are done by whole cluster entirely, allowing for a cooler fermentation temperature which preserves
fresh fruit flavors and adds a thread of spice that weaves through all of their cuve?es.
