There is a new generation of young winemakers all across Beaujolais, contracting any available rows to farm, vinify and bottle their own wines. With the increased teachings and tastings established over the past decade, or more, by Lapierre, Foillard, and Métras, these sharp and eager newcomers have started to gain attention from importers and collectors, as well as from neighboring vignerons. Anne Sophie was born in Champagne, refined her winemaking chops in Volnay, then fell in love with Gamay, making the village of Fleurie her home. Her domaine now farms almost 20 acres with some parcels reaching 60 years of age. Pair with a roaring fireplace.Label I.Q.: The label says Bourgogne, but this is all sourced from young vines in the Fleurie AOC.
